Good Morning everyone!
Hope you had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weekend . I'm surprised that no one was up earlier than me and posted.
What's your wake-up juice this morning. The usual for me-decaf and black.
Hey Randy-still harvesting mushrooms from my front yard! Too much fun to not have to hunt for them. Was out on the Kal-Haven trail this weekend and saw lots of hunters...
How was your weekend? Mine was busy. Did road miles on the bike on Saturday with a really strong head wind. Fun with the tail wind, however.
Wasn't the underdog at the Kentucky Derby great? Loved the whole story...
QOTD-Who's been your biggest support during your WL journey?
My best friend, Deb, has. She went through WLS 6 months before me and we've been so strong for each other. We exercise together and go to support group, too. My DH has, but he never has had the food struggles I've had my whole life.
Have a good Monday!

QOTD:  I haven't really found my support.  I have the support group, my yahoogroup and OH but that is about it.  I did get a call from someone locally that I am aquaintences with on Friday.  She had the surgery in November.  I think we could support each other.  My family wasn't for the surgery so they are little support.

The weekend was TOO short....as usual.  I had a great day shopping and hanging with my friends on Saturday.  Saturday night (Sunday AM) though, hubby and I decided to head to the hospital about 1AM because I just could not get the baby to move.  He wasn't responding to the various normal stimuli that elicits kicks and rolls, so we heeded caution and went to Labor and Delivery.  They put me on the monitors and naturally ALL IS WELL!!!  He was just being a very quiet little bugger for a few hours.  But since I'm 36 weeks, I got a bit paranoid.  They were great at UofM and reassured us by doing the monitors for about an hour and then a thorough body scan ultrasound.  All is well, where the Baby is concerned and he's definitely still A BOY!!  We did tell him, however, that we didn't want to come back to the hospital until June 3rd.  LOL!

We got home and back into bed about 4AM.  So Sunday was a bit of a late start for us.  We did get the baby's room done, though.  Brenda, you'd be shocked, but everything is put away, doors are hung, and curtains are up!  All I need to do now is to get my chair, when it comes in and put books on the book shelves!  I even packed Dub's bag for the hospital.

QOTD - My biggest supporter has always been my hubby, in everything...having surgery, not having surgery, dieting, exercising...life in general.  But I also have my friends.  Before I had my surgery, I met Shannon from OH and she was a great support because she had been there done that, about 9 months before me!  So that was a lot of help.  Now, I've met even more great friends from OH (The B's and Anna). We're all in different stages of this post-op journey, but we support each other through all our trials and tribulations.  So, not only have I garnered support from them, but great friendships, as well.

Enjoy this beautiful day!  Tina

Hi Tina,
Glad your wee one is fine. Being a former labor and delivery nurse, I feel you did the absolute right thing going in for monitoring. You aren't at all being paranoid, just being diligent!!!!!!
Take care!

Thanks, Deb! That's exactly how they made me feel at the hospital, which I was very glad!

Good Morning Deb and everyone!

I am at work drinking my usual, water.  My boss is off today, so that is great, but the guys in the office are acting like we're in jr. high and we have a substitute teacher.  I can't get anyone to do anything!

I'm going to get inspired by all of you hard workers and go home and take down my living room curtains and wash the walls after work.  I'm supposed to go to the gym after that, but we'll see how motivated I am.

QOTD-no doubt about it, my husband has been my biggest support through all of this.  He is always there for me and even though he hasn't been through surgery, he tries to understand everything.  I am having some issues after my TT and he's been really great about that, too.  You gotta love a man that tells you he thinks your big puffy belly is cute!

Good morning all!

Just finished off my morning fake latte and need to start in on some crystal light soon.  Loved the weather this weekend ...  can't wait to break out the shorts and tanks soon.

QOTD -- my biggest support has been the Bay City Support Group members.  I started attending the group about 15 months before my surgery and they saw me through the really rough time in my journey when I had to re-do my 12 month diet history for insurance approval.  I've made some lifelong friends and love them all so much!  And when they asked me to be their leader, I was happy to take on the job.
